Daniel Teichmann

CEO and Founder
Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies

Dr Daniel Teichmann is the founder and CEO of Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies and Chairman of the management board of the joint venture companies Hydrogenious LOHC Emirates and Hydrogenious LOHC Maritime. The engineer conceptually developed the industrial application of Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC)-based hydrogen storage and transportation as part of his doctorate at Friedrich Alexander University (Germany, Erlangen-Nuremberg). After his first professional station at BMW AG Research and Technology, he decided in 2013 to start a business with professors Peter Wasserscheid, Wolfgang Arlt and Eberhard Schlücker, and the successful path from research to commercialisation began.

Today, the portfolio of the market-leading pioneer and its joint venture companies includes stationary and mobile (on-board) LOHC-based applications: Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies, headquartered in Germany, offers (de-)hydrogenation turnkey plants, Operation & Maintenance and LOHC logistics services – ensuring safe, easy and efficient hydrogen storage, transport and distribution. Hydrogenious LOHC Emirates, based in the UAE acts as the regional spearhead in the Middle East since the end of 2021. Hydrogenious LOHC Maritime, established in 2021 in Norway, develops an emission-free onboard propulsion system with a promising LOHC/fuel cell solution for the global shipping industry. With the support of its investors AP Ventures, Royal Vopak, Winkelmann Group, Mitsubishi Corporation, Covestro, JERA Americas, Temasek, Hyundai Motor Company, Chevron Technology Ventures and Pavilion Capital, Hydrogenious is pushing forward to enable the LOHC technology to scale.
